In early December the SDV team teamed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Southwestern Connecticut to bring holiday cheer to a local family. The BBBS “Holiday Gift Giving” program adopts families whose Christmas mornings would be very sparse without outside help, and brings their ‘wish list’ to willing donors. The ‘wish list’ SDV received contained necessities many take for granted – home items, warm clothing and a few toys.

Within days of receiving the list, a corner of the SDV office became an ever-expanding Santa’s workshop of sorts, filling with presents the givers knew would be well-received. When the BBBS agent came to pick up the toys, the office had truly adopted the family as their own, personally assuring that all mentioned children and adults had special presents to open on Christmas morning.

SDV is happy and proud to have participated in this wonderful charity, and looks forward to bringing Christmas joy to another family next year through BBBS.
