Mr. Podolak joined SDV in 2006. He concentrates his practice on insurance coverage litigation on behalf of policyholders. He has handled numerous cases involving coverage for commercial general liability, directors and officers, professional liability, first party property damage, workers compensation, business risk, and additional insured claims. Mr. Podolak has represented a wide variety of clients, including major general contractors, and has successfully negotiated and tried disputes through all phases of litigation in both state and federal court.
Mr. Podolak is actively involved in the New Haven County Bar Association, serving on the Young Lawyers Section Executive Board, and the Connecticut Bar Association, where he serves as Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Insurance Law Section and was recently appointed by the CBA President to serve on the Committee on Insurance Programs for the Law. He also participates in a statewide child advocacy program which matches children who are victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment with attorneys who donate their time to serve as counsel and guardian ad litem for these children.
During law school, Mr. Podolak interned at the Federal District Court in New Haven and the Connecticut Appellate Court. He also served as an executive board member of Quinnipiac's Moot Court Honor Society and competed in several national moot court competitions.
Mr. Podolak currently resides in Hamden with his wife.
