On March 13, 2007, SDV filed on behalf of four Connecticut acute care hospitals a Complaint against Health Net Inc., Health Net of the Northeast, Inc. and Health Net Connecticut, Inc. The hospitals are seeking the recovery of monetary damages caused by unfair business and insurance practices and breach of contract. The plaintiff hospitals allege that Health Net systematically denied, underpaid and untimely paid claims. In addition, the hospitals seek injunctive relief in the form of an order that Health Net cease and desist engaging in the alleged improper acts. (See the full Complaint here)
