Firm Services Professionals News

In 1994, Tracy Alan Saxe and Jeffrey J. Vita founded the Connecticut office of Anderson Kill Olick & Oshinsky, a national, multi-office policyholder firm based in New York City. In 2001, Edwin L. Doernberger and Maria Pepe VanDerLaan joined the firm as partners, and it became Saxe Doernberger & Vita, P.C. All four partners previously worked for Sachs Berman Rashba & Shure, P.C., where they also concentrated on insurance coverage issues.

SDV was formed with a shared vision of providing insurance policyholders with large firm expertise and service delivered with small firm cost-effectiveness and responsiveness. The growth of the firm and the quality of clients and cases the firm has attracted is a testament to the wisdom of their shared vision and the growing demand for quality representation of policyholders in insurance coverage disputes.

Over the past 10 years, SDV has represented many policyholders, including large corporations, small companies, non-profit institutions, municipalities, hospitals, and utilities in disputes with insurance providers. SDV’s exclusive focus is to represent policyholders in their disputes with insurance companies.

“We founded Saxe Doernberger & Vita, P.C. to counsel and advocate for policyholders in their disputes with insurance companies. In today’s environment, these claims are ever more prevalent, and it is reassuring to have focused experts make your case, negotiate on your behalf, and litigate your claim when required.”
