Bio: »

Bethany Barrese began working for SDV as an Attorney in the fall of 2012.  She focuses her practice primarily on complex policyholder coverage issues, disputes, and litigation in federal and state courts.  She also helps companies review their existing insurance programs and recommends various risk management strategies.  She enjoys the challenge of utilizing all available resources to obtain the most comprehensive recoveries for her clients.

Since joining the firm, Bethany has developed significant expertise in handling insurance coverage disputes arising out of construction projects.  She frequently handles construction defect and additional insured claims on behalf of owners, architects, construction managers and general contractors, and works with her clients to develop innovative long-term solutions to these common insurance coverage issues.  Bethany is also the firm’s leading expert on bad faith claims, and has researched and published several articles discussing this topic.

Bethany serves as a Content Editor for substantive content produced by SDV attorneys.  Bethany and her husband reside in northern New Jersey with their daughter, who was born in 2017.
