Tracy Alan Saxe was joined by Bob Yeadon of Turner Casualty & Surety and Paul Van Osselaer of Van Osselaer & Buchanan, LLP on April 21, 2009 at the RIMS 2009 seminar, in Orlando, FL, speaking on the topic of Navigating the Minefield of Contractual Indemnity Coverage and Additional Insured Issues. This presentation addressed key strategies for dealing with the day-to-day challenges of risk management through contractual indemnity and additional insured coverage and discussed real-life solutions for every day issues, including horizontal v. vertical exhaustion, certificates of insurance, subrogation, notice and ongoing operations.

On April 22nd, Tracy spoke with David Huntley of CVS Caremark Corporation and Raymond Hutnik of Marsh F.A.C.S., on Accurate Business Interruption Value - How Important Are They, Really? This presentation discussed important issues associated with business interruption (BI) values reporting, including the consequences of under-reporting and over-reporting and the pros and cons of different value-reporting strategies, as well as practical approaches to simultaneously satisfy insurer and business needs. It also addressed the importance of detailed BI worksheets, location reporting and anticipated maximum business interruption loss (AMBIL) and maximum foreseeable loss (MRL) calculations.
