Jasjeet Sahani is a resident of the firm's Northeast office. She focuses her practice on representing a wide array of policyholders, ranging from individuals to international corporations, in complex coverage disputes. She also works within the LaborGuard Program, a subset of SDV's Risk Transfer practice group, performing policy reviews to ensure clients receive proper coverage and remain compliant with local, state, and federal insurance requirements.
Jasjeet joined SDV as an Associate after completing the firm's Summer Associate program. While in law school, Jasjeet received several CALI Excellence Awards in American Indian Law, Mental Health Law, and Professional Insurance Liability. She was also a Student Mediator in the University of Connecticut School of Law Mediation Clinic, where she helped plan and conduct mediations in complex employment discrimination cases pending before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO). In addition, Jasjeet was Assistant Managing Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. Before Jasjeet joined SDV, she interned in the Employment Rights Department of the Connecticut Attorney General's Office; Updike Kelley & Spellacy, LLC; and Eversource's legal department.
Jasjeet is fluent in four languages, including Hindi and Punjabi. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, painting, and attending concerts. She currently resides in New Haven, Connecticut.
