Richard W. Brown (SDV), Lindsey Chang (ENGIE North America), Daniel Traber (Marsh) & Raymond Alletto (The Beck Group)
Understanding the scope and limitations of indemnification and additional insured coverage is critical to effective risk management in the energy industry. The relationship between contractual indemnity and additional insured coverage has become increasingly complex. This creates the need to understand the critical limitations and strategic importance of these two distinct risk transfer mechanisms to ensure that the intended risk transfer goals are achieved. This session will focus on risk management challenges and solutions for problems related to indemnification and additional insured issues in the energy industry and provide guidance for identifying risk transfer issues and ensuring that the required insurance coverage and contractual obligations are satisfied.
