Andrea P. Catania Associate
Andrea Catania is a resident of SDV’s Northeast office, where she focuses her practice on advocating for commercial policyholders.
Andrea “Andie” Catania is an insurance coverage attorney based in the firm’s Northeast office, where she dedicates her legal practice to advocating for commercial insurance policyholders in disputes against their insurance carriers. Andie first joined SDV as an Associate after completing two years in the firm’s Summer Associate program and working as a Law Clerk at the firm during her last two years of law school. She is well-versed in the intricacies of insurance law, having graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law with a certificate in Insurance Law and Regulation.
While in law school, Andie acted as the Managing Editor of Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and pursued her passion for animals through her work with the UConn School of Law Animal Law Clinic and involvement with the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. She received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for both Copyright and Legal Spanish 2, as well as the 2024 UConn School of Law Award for Outstanding Service to the Law School.
In her free time, Andie enjoys baking, indoor cycling, and hiking with her dog and husband. She is proficient in Spanish and is musically inclined, playing in bands, orchestras, and small ensembles throughout her life. Her diverse interests and experiences enrich both her personal and professional life, allowing her to connect with clients on multiple levels.
