Cileena Y. Terra Associate

Cileena Y. Terra dedicates her practice to policyholder representation throughout the insurance claims process and in coverage dispute litigation against insurance carriers. Prior to joining SDV, Cileena represented policyholders in complex coverage disputes in both state and federal courts. She has handled a variety of coverage issues under commercial general liability, professional liability, homeowners, and property policies. Cileena’s litigation experience also includes handling bad faith, declaratory judgment, and unfair insurance practice actions from inception through resolution.

While in law school, Cileena was an intern at the Quinnipiac Civil Justice Clinic, where she represented a variety of clients with immigration applications, civil matters, and other litigation issues throughout Connecticut. She was also a member of the Diversity and Multicultural Affairs Committee and President of the Latinx Law Student Association. Cileena is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Cileena was selected as a New England Super Lawyers’ Rising Star in 2023.

Cileena is a resident of SDV’s Northeast office and currently resides in Connecticut. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and playing basketball in her spare time.
