Based in the firm’s Southeast office, Colleen Leahy dedicates her practice to guiding policyholders through the intricacies of insurance coverage disputes. Colleen is an experienced litigator, having successfully litigated in both state and federal courts.
Before joining SDV, Colleen represented insurance carriers and their insureds in complex litigation involving construction defect, premises liability, municipal liability, coverage disputes, and constitutional law claims. Colleen is experienced in all phases of litigation, from case inception through resolution. Additionally, Colleen has provided legal counsel regarding regulatory compliance and risk management to business owners across diverse industries. Her ability to deliver clear, actionable guidance is rooted in her commitment to client-focused advocacy.
Colleen earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Ave Maria School of Law, where she received the Highest Grade in Class Award for Legal Research and Writing and was recognized as a Cardinal Newman Scholar. She also distinguished herself as 1st Runner Up in the Robert H. Bork Memorial Moot Court Competition and served as the Editor of the Moot Court Journal.
Colleen resides in Florida with her husband and two sons. In her free time, she enjoys visiting Florida beaches, baking, and cycling.
