Edward B. Williams Associate
Eddie Williams is a resident of the firm’s West Coast office, where he maintains a legal practice dedicated exclusively to advocating for policyholders in complex coverage disputes.
As a member of SDV’s national legal team, Edward “Eddie” Williams advocates for commercial policyholders across the country in complex insurance coverage disputes against insurance carriers, with a particular focus on the nuanced environmental issues arising within the construction and power and energy industries.
Prior to his career as an insurance coverage attorney, Eddie worked as a biologist in the field of environmental consulting. He managed projects that included environmental compliance monitoring for wind power, powerlines, and other development projects. He has co-authored several papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and was awarded the Holbrook Prize in Biology. While in law school, received the CALI award for Legal Writing and International Environmental Law and contributed to the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law.
In his free time, Eddie enjoys exercising, birdwatching, wildlife photography, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
