Nora G. Liebowitz Senior Associate

Nora G. Liebowitz advises corporate policyholders on insurance coverage, risk transfer, and compliance matters across a broad range of industries. Her practice encompasses the review and negotiation of contractual risk transfer provisions, insurance program analysis, and strategic counseling on complex coverage issues before and after a loss.

She represents policyholders seeking coverage under numerous lines of insurance, including commercial general liability, commercial property, builder’s risk, professional liability, errors and omissions, directors and officers, and cyber policies. Combining meticulous policy analysis with practical business judgment, Nora develops solutions that advance her clients’ legal, operational, and financial objectives. Nora represents policyholders in complex insurance coverage disputes in state and federal courts in multiple jurisdictions.

Nora’s commitment to public service is reflected in her extensive child advocacy work. Through her involvement with Lawyers for Children America and other pro bono initiatives, she has represented and supported children and young adults in foster care and dependency matters, helping them access legal protections and critical community resources.

During law school, Nora served in numerous leadership roles, including Vice President of both the Cardozo Legal Society and the Child Advocacy and Family Law Society, and was inducted into The Society of Bar and Gavel in recognition of her leadership and service. She also interned for the Honorable Margaret A. Chan of the New York State Supreme Court. Nora first joined SDV as a Summer Associate and returned to the firm following graduation from law school.
