Olivia Benson Associate

Olivia Benson focuses her practice on representing policyholders in sophisticated insurance coverage matters. Prior to joining SDV, Olivia represented secured and unsecured creditors in United States Bankruptcy Courts. Olivia also represented banks, businesses, real estate developers, and individuals in both state and federal court throughout the country in a wide variety of contract claims, foreclosures, receivership actions, and replevins. Olivia uses her strong litigation background to help policyholders strategically and efficiently manage their coverage claims.

She was recognized by the Connecticut Bar Association in 2024-2025 as a Rising Star, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section and named Rookie of the Year, Young Lawyers Section, in 2023-2024. Olivia currently serves as the Secretary of the Young Lawyers Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. She is also a member of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation.

During her free time, Olivia enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two cats, visiting her nieces, and attending shows at the Bushnell.
